Pre-Piling Templates

Fathom engineers have designed and analysed pre-piling templates (PPTs) used in the successful installation of offshore windfarms. We have incorporated aspects of offshore, structural and detailed mechanical engineering to deliver design, analysis and verification of PPT structures ranging from 400 to 1700 tonnes.

Our detailed knowledge and experience in this niche area of offshore and subsea engineering allows us to support clients in cutting edge design and cost reduction for jacket foundation construction. We have developed bespoke methods and in-house software allowing us to offer highly efficient design and validation processes across multiple software packages including DNV Sesam, Orcaflex and Ansys.

By working closely with developers and Tier 1 clients we can provide feasibility assessments alongside geotechnical engineers and development project teams. We can take this assessment further into FEED, operability studies, global and local analysis and fatigue life assessments to ensure the design is optimised and fit for purpose. Further, we can use our industry experience and holistic design approach to finalise the structural and mechanical designs ready for efficient fabrication.
